Hope Westcott’s dreams for love and adventure have gone terribly
wrong. Abandoned in a foreign land by the very man she’d planned
to marry, Hope finds herself on the auction block. Vile men with lecherous
gazes and crude comments bid on her. Hope has never known such fear. But
just as a contemptible man offers the final bid, a handsome, young man
offers more.
Hope can barely believe that Nathaniel Mason, a common laborer she’d
shunned in Charles Towne now owns her. But rather than force her into hard
labor, he
promises to return her to her home.
Nathaniel can’t believe his eyes when he discovers Hope Westcott on the
auction block on a Caribbean Island. How had the beautiful daughter of an admiral
been brought so low? And what was he going to do with her? She caught his eye
back in Charles Towne, even though she ignored him in favor of her socialite
friends. He despises flirty women like her who throw themselves at men, but no
matter how much he prays, he can’t shake her from his mind.
As Hope gradually realizes what a good man Nathaniel is, she comes to see that
she is far below him. Nathaniel is principled, honest, and loyal while she is
self-serving, craves love no matter the cost, and impure. He could never love
a woman like her. But as the blinders fall from Hope’s eyes, and she begins
to understand that God can make her new again, she begins to hope that maybe
Nathaniel could also love her.
But when Nathaniel sees Hope in the arms of another man, he is crushed. He wonders
if she’s truly changed or if her behavior was just another ploy to get
what she wanted. Is there any hope for a godly man and a fallen woman to find
love?
The Blue Enchantress is a fast-paced adventure on the high seas with lush tropical
settings, vile pirates, an honorable hero, and a naïve young woman just
wanting someone to love her. Hope isn’t above using her beauty and charm
to get what she wants—and she wants Lord Falkland. Even though he is a
Christian, Nathaniel believes wealth means security. As both characters are thrown
together and encounter all manner of problems, they learn that there are other
things that are more important than their personal goals.
Author M.L. Tyndall creates characters that leap off the page—characters
you will root for and others you’ll want to scream at and cry over. Her
vivid descriptions place you in the scene, whether aboard ship, on a deserted
island, or on the auction block. With sword fights, cut throat pirates, a devout
missionary, spiritual warfare, and a determined hero and heroine, you will love
this swashbuckling tale of adventure long ago.
