"...the perfect combination of lighthearted fun and mysterious mayhem."

Andi McConnell has just turned 60! The good news: She inherits a sleek black limousine from a dead eccentric rich uncle in Texas. The bad news: She is found knocked out cold laying beside the limos’ open door the morning after . . . with her ex-boyfriend’s body discovered in the trunk.

With the help of Fritz, a former TV private eye, (think Columbo, not Magnum PI), Andi begins a persistent, bumbling and humorous effort to identify the killer. “The sleuth and the sidekick” as they affectionately call themselves.

Your Chariot Awaits is the perfect combination of lighthearted fun and mysterious mayhem. Every character’s personality is downright endearing. The next door neighbor who has nothing better to do than to be a busybody was a hoot!

McCourtney’s deep and rich descriptions proves that as an author she is an outstanding wordsmith — a veteran professional. It is very easy to visually picture what you are reading from the detail she paints with words.

Faith and hope are the underlying themes in Your Chariot Awaits. Andi’s interaction with Joella, her tenant, (especially in the back of the limo), brought a smile to my face and the sweet taste of joy to my soul.

Although I was disappointed to see the end of the Ivy Malone Mystery Series by this author, I believe reading about Ms. Andi McConnell’s adventures will ease the pain.
